Today's adventure begins at Tajrish Square in Tehran, a historic area dating back to the Qajar dynasty in the 18th century. We'll delve into the vibrant atmosphere of Tajrish Bazaar and visit the Emamzadeh Saleh Mausoleum, immersing ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of the region until lunchtime.

For a delightful lunch experience, we'll make our way to Darband, an enchanting mountain village in the Shemiran region. Locating at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level, Darband serves as a gateway to the central Alborz Range and is a favorite starting point for mountaineers.

Darband's charming hillside restaurants draw both locals and visitors from Tehran. Here, amidst the refreshing mountain climate and breathtaking views, we'll savor our meal, soak in the natural beauty, and engage with the welcoming local community, making unforgettable memories along the way.

Overnight in Tehran

This morning, our journey takes us to the magnificent Golestan Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the Qajar dynasty's reign in the late 1700s. This luxurious complex features green gardens adorned with tranquil pools, offering a glimpse into Iran's royal history.

Next, we'll wander through the bustling atmosphere of the Tehran Grand Bazaar, the country's second-largest bazaar after Tabriz. Here, we'll stroll through the spiral alleys, marveling at the array of goods on offer and soaking in the vibrant ambiance.

In the afternoon, our cultural exploration continues at the National Museum of Iran, home to a treasure of historical artifacts remaining from 5000 BC to the advent of Islam in Iran. This fascinating collection provides a comprehensive overview of our land's rich heritage and celebrated past.

Later in the afternoon, we'll make our way to the Domestic Airport for our flight to Shiraz, where new adventures await.

Overnight in Shiraz

After breakfast, our day begins with a visit to the enchanting Nasir-al-Molk Mosque, also known as the Pink Mosque. This architectural marvel is renowned for its stunning stained glass windows that throw vibrant colors across its interior.

Next, we'll admire the impressive Karim Khan Citadel from the outside, a formidable fortress constructed during the Zand dynasty. Its imposing walls and intricate design offer a glimpse into Shiraz's rich history.

Following our exploration, we'll venture into the lively atmosphere of Vakil Bazaar, a bustling marketplace abounding with hundreds of shops, charming courtyards, and the historic Saray-e Moshir caravanserai. Amidst the hustle and bustle, we'll also visit the iconic Traditional Vakil Mosque, a masterpiece of Zand dynasty architecture renowned for its beauty and grandeur.

In the afternoon, we'll immerse ourselves in Iranian hospitality with a unique dining experience hosted by a local family. Overnight in Shiraz

After breakfast, we'll set off for the illustrious city of Persepolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of Darius the Great, established in 512 BC. Persepolis is renowned as one of the most impressive constructions of the ancient world.

Following our exploration of Persepolis, we'll venture a short distance to Naqsh-e-Rostam, also known as the Necropolis, where Darius and his successors rest. This site is a remarkable display of ancient Persian architecture and ambition, providing a captivating glimpse into history.

Back to Shiraz. Overnight in Shiraz

After breakfast, we'll check out and begin our journey to Yazd. Along the way, we'll make a stop at Pasargadae, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of the Achaemenid Empire. Here, we'll visit the Tomb of Cyrus the Great and the renowned Apadana Palace. While Pasargadae may not be as visually outstanding as Persepolis, we'll take some time to explore the site and enjoy the stunning views from a great viewpoint overlooking the area. Afterward, we'll continue to Yazd.

Overnight in Yazd

Yazd, the city of windcatchers, is adorned by minarets and skillfully crafted wind towers that harness desert breezes to cool homes in scorching summers. Our exploration begins in the heart of Iran's Zoroastrian community.

At the Tower of Silence, we delve into the ancient pre-Islamic tradition where the deceased were placed to decay and be consumed by birds, adhering to Zoroastrian beliefs of purity.

Continuing our cultural journey, we visit the Zoroastrian Fire Temple, home to a sacred flame burning for 1500 years, drawing pilgrims seeking spiritual solace.

Then, Amir Chakhmaq Square reveals the grandeur of a Hussainiya, a hall for Shia commemoration ceremonies, with its striking facade capturing our gaze as one of the city's iconic landmarks.

Continuing our journey to Meybod, we're immediately struck by the striking monochromatic architecture of desert brick that defines this ancient town. However, Meybod's significance extends beyond its appearance, as it lies along an ancient trade route and boasts several captivating sites to explore.

Our first stop is the impressive Narin Castle, towering above the town center with its three layers of construction dating back to 4000 BC, revealing Meybod's ancient roots.

Next, we'll marvel at the Meybod Pigeon Tower, a historic structure showcasing ancient Iranian architecture and serving as a prominent attraction in the city. Situated along the Silk Route, this tower played a crucial role in safeguarding passing caravans, reflecting Meybod's rich history as a strategic trading center.

Another highlight is the Shah-Abbasi Caravanserai, a magnificent monument from the Safavid era. As we pause here on our journey to Isfahan, we're transported back in time to an era when weary travelers sought refuge in its rooms, which were traditionally used as shops and stores.

Our exploration in Isfahan begins at the Chehel Sotun Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in a lush park with a serene reflecting pool. Built by Shah Abbas II for lavish entertainment and court receptions, this graceful pavilion offers a glimpse into the grandeur of Safavid-era gatherings.

Next, we'll visit the expansive Naghsh-e Jahan Square, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest public spaces globally. Here, we'll admire the breathtaking Shah Mosque, renowned for its intricate tile-work and lofty minarets. We'll also marvel at the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, known for its stunning domed ceiling that creates a mesmerizing peacock-like image in the light.

Our journey continues to the Ali Qapu Palace, where we'll be captivated by its exquisite music rooms and balconies overlooking the bustling square below, where Safavid kings once enjoyed polo matches.

Concluding our visit to Isfahan, we head to Khaju Bridge, a historic marvel spanning the Zayandehrud River. Dating back to the 17th-century Safavid dynasty, this bridge is celebrated for its distinctive architecture and intricate tilework, offering a glimpse into Iran's rich heritage.

As we leave Isfahan, our journey continues towards Kashan with a stop at Abyaneh Village. Known as the Red Village due to its crimson soil and houses, Abyaneh charms with its ancient architectural style featuring clay construction, wooden doors, and latticed windows, taking us back in time.

Arriving in Kashan, renowned for its textile, rose water, and ceramic production, our afternoon tour starts with a visit to Tabatabaei’s and Borujerdi’s Traditional Houses. Overnight in Kashan

Following breakfast, before heading to Tehran, we'll explore the stunning Fin Garden, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This tranquil Persian Garden features captivating water channels weaving through a central pavilion, offering a serene ambiance. Additionally, there's an opportunity to purchase locally renowned rose water just outside the garden grounds. We'll then proceed with our journey to Tehran. Upon arrival after a lengthy trip, we'll take some time to relax and indulge in a massage experience to alleviate any fatigue. This will provide us with insight into the self-care practices of Iranian women, as beauty salons in Iran offer such services.
