Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Mashhad
Arrive at Mashhad International Airport, meet the guide, and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Imam Reza Holy Shrine
After eating your breakfast, you will be taken to visit Imam Reza's holy shrine, the eighth Shia Imam.
This sacred place is a complex with Imam Reza mausoleum in the center and seven courtyards surrounding it, covering an area of 598,657 square meters as a whole. This limits contains Goharshad mosque, one of the most well-known mosques, Astan Quds and Quran museums, a library, four seminaries, and immerse prayer and dining halls for pilgrims. This complex with its pleasant atmosphere and unique architectural beauty is a heaven for many Muslim and non-Muslim travelers.
Day 3: Neyshabour Excursion
Drive to Neyshabour and visit Ghadamgah (the place of feet), a holy place including a mosque and the graves of some celebrated characters in history. The name “Ghadamgah” was chosen for the reason of detecting a black stone with a footprint on it, which is assumed to be the step place of Imam Reza.
Then, go to see the Mausoleum of Omar Khayyam, a polymath during the Seljuk dynasty. The mausoleum (a national heritage) is of great importance for exemplifying modern Persian architecture.
Following this place, you will be taken to visit one of Iran’s prominent painters' tombs, Kamalolmolk or Mohammad Ghaffari. He was also one of the leading figures in contemporary art history during the last century. What makes his tomb distinctive is the utilization of traditional Iranian architecture in a new combination.
Imam zadeh Muhammad Mahruq is your next stop, a historical and religious place belonging to Timurid and Safavid period in 10th century AH. Spotting this building, you can notice the marvelous tilework in the portico and the entrance of the shrine.

Day 4: Flight to Tehran
Drive to Qom and visit Fatima Masumeh's holy shrine, Imam Reza’s reverent sister. After that, Jamkaran Mosque, six kilometers east of Qom built to host many pilgrims coming to crave the twelfth Shia Imam, Imam Mahdi’s blessing. There is a “well of request” in the back of the mosque where Pilgrims tie small strings in a knot around the grids covering the holy well, which they hope will be received by Imam Mahdi, especially on Tuesday nights.
