Overview

On this journey, you will have the opportunity to travel to the off-the-beaten-track destinations in Sistan and Balochistan Province, besides exploring Iran's classic route, covering five major touristic cities for visiting well-known UNESCO World Heritage sites. This tour is a combination of famous attractions in big cities, along with trekking/visiting natural sceneries inside and outside of Chabahar city in Baluchestan. The scheduled itinerary will begin in Tehran and end in Shiraz. On this trip, in addition to visiting cultural/ historical monuments in Tehran, Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd, and Shiraz, you will have a special experience by attending Chabahar in the southeast part of Iran, with a lot of worth-visiting places, which has been less traveled by the tourists. This designed program will last for 16 days to give you the chance to discover the most famous sights in Iran and get an adventurous trip to the mysterious parts of Chabahar, which will provide you with a different experience of traveling in Iran.

Itinerary

Day 1, Arrival at Tehran/ Tehran City Tour

Arrive in Tehran. Meet the guide and transfer to the hotel. Morning rest at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will go to visit the Archaeological section of the National Museum. It is a complex consisting of three floors, with the second-floor exhibiting artifacts dating back to early Islamic, Seljuq, and Ilkhanid periods and the first-floor housing the holy Qurān hall, and artifacts of the Timurid, Safavid, Afshār, Zand and Qajar periods.

Your city tour ends by exploring the Glass and Ceramics Museum, including historical ceramics of the medieval period, glass works of and 12th-13th century as well as lusterware from the Gorgan, 4th-century pottery from Takht-e Soleyman, and ceramics belonging to late Safavid and Qajar era.

Overnight in Tehran

Today, you will visit the Carpet Museum, where you can find beautiful carpets from all over Iran dating from the 16th century until now. You may even get interested in the exterior design of the museum, which looks like a carpet loom to cast shade on the exterior walls and provide a cool temperature in the interior part of the museum.

Golestan Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage site) is a must-see attraction in Tehran you are going to visit after the Carpet Museum. This complex, which was initially erected in the 16th century and rebuilt in 1865, includes gardens, royal buildings, and collections of Iranian crafts and European presents from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The National Jewelry Museum will be the last place you will see in Tehran. Entering this site, you will be immersed in the ocean of beauty and art by watching exquisite rubies, precious gemstones, priceless crowns, and tiaras collected from Safavid, Qajar, and Pahlavi eras.

Flight to Chabahar. Overnight in Chabahar.

On the first day of your stay in Chabahar, your adventurous experience includes visiting and trekking mesmerizing natural landscapes of Chabahar, like the Camb rocky coast, the Lipar pink lake, the Ficus religiosa (Anjir-e Maabed), the Martian mountains (if you want to ride a camel), the Beris rocky beach, Gwadar Bay and Mangroves, and if possible, boating and watching dolphins.

Drive back to the hotel. Overnight Chabahar

Today you will spend your time exploring other worth-visiting places inside and outside Chabahar like Kahir Tropical Gardens, Gol Feshan, Tang Port and the confluence of the desert and the sea, Rocky Ship, Darak Beach, and the confluence of the desert and the sea. By the end of your tour, you will have free time for shopping in Chabahar Free Zone.

Overnight in Chabahar

There are still so many places left for you to discover in Chabahar. On the last day of your stay in this city, you will visit Pozm Tiab Wharf, Pozm and Ocean Eye Beach, Tanakura Market, Mesiti Tis Caves, and Tis Jame Mosque.

Flight to Tehran. Overnight in Tehran

Move to Kashan. Transfer to the hotel, and take a rest for a few hours. Then, visit the most highlighted attractions of Kashan Fin Garden, Tabatabai House, Ameri House, and Borujerdi House.

Then you will go to the Bazaar of Kashan, which was built during the Seljuk era and rebuilt during the Qajar dynasty. Timche Aminodole is one of the stunning parts of this Bazaar. Its unearthly beauty, and geometric artwork would catch any visitor's eyes for hours.

Overnight in Kashan

Today, Visit Abyaneh Village, famous for its red houses and its people’s particular way of clothing.

Move toward Isfahan via Natanz. In Natanz, see Jameh Mosque of Natanz. This mosque was constructed during the time of Öljaitü and his son Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan. It is a complex including a Jameh Mosque, a Khanqah, the tomb of Abdussamad Esfahani, and a 37-meter minaret.

Arrive in Isfahan, and after a short break, walk to Chaharbagh St, and see the historical Sio-Se Pol and Khaju Bridges.

Leave for Isfahan. Overnight in Isfahan.

On the first day of your stay in Isfahan, you will see Isfahan Jameh Mosque, a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the most outstanding examples of Islamic architecture in Iran.

Naghsh- e Jahan Square (a UNESCO World Heritage site), a complex including Aliqapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfolah Mosque, and Qeysarieh Bazaar will be your next stop.

Overnight in Isfahan

Today your city tour begins with visiting Vank Cathedral in the New Julfa district of Isfahan.

The rest of the day, you will visit Chehel Sotun and Hasht Behesht palaces, two historical wonderful Persian pavilions in Isfahan.

Overnight in Isfahan

Drive to Yazd via Naein. On your way, visit the wonderful handicrafts Rock workshops of Mohammad Abad. In Naein, you can also explore the historical sites like the traditional Bazaar and Jameh Mosque of Naein, which are very old but have still preserved their beauty.

If time allows, you can also take a look at Pirnia House, known as Desert Anthropology Museum.

After Naein, you will reach Chak Chak Zoroastrian holy shrine in Ardakan. The name Chack Chack originated in the sound of the drops of water falling from a rock and is now leading into a storage tank.

Arrive in Yazd. Overnight Yazd.

Your city tour begins with visiting Yazd Fire Temple to see the unbelievable never-ending burning fire, beside which Zoroastrians practice their religion.

Then, continue your way to visit Yazd Jameh Mosque. As you are heading toward Alexander’s Prison (A National heritage site) in Yazd, it would be a miss if you do not wander about the traditional texture of the Fahadan locality.

Your next stop would be at the splendid Amir Chakhmaq Square. It is a complex including a mosque, a caravanserai, a Tekye, a bathhouse, a cold water well, and a confectionery. You can also enjoy the picturesque view made by the illumination of the building after the sunset, which is so magnetic for the visitors.

Dowlat Abad Garden (a UNESCO World Heritage site) is another popular historical site in Yazd you are going to visit. The most outstanding part of this garden is its 33.8-meter-tall wind tower, the tallest wind tower in the world.

Overnight in Yazd

On the last day of your stay in Yazd, you will see the Tower of Silence; a place where ancient Zoroastrians put their dead bodies there and let the vultures eat the corpses. They believed that earth, fire, and water are sacred elements and should not get polluted by burning or burying dead bodies.

Then move to Abarkuh to visit the 4000-year Cypress of Abarkuh. Aghazadeh house, considered to be the most beautiful traditional mansion in Abarkuh, is your next stop.

Drive back to Yazd. Overnight in Yazd.

Drive to Shiraz. On your way, visit Pasargade, the tomb of Cyrus the Great (a UNESCO World Heritage), the founder of the Achaemenid kingdom and owner of the first human rights cylinder.

Arrive in Shiraz. Transfer to the hotel. After a short break, you will be taken to visit the Tomb of Hafez or Hafezieh, which was constructed in honor of the illustrious Persian poet, Hafez. The tranquil ambiance, the tomb, and the fragrance of the flowers tempt any visitors to spend a few hours there.

Then, you can also explore the Tomb of Saadi, known as Saadieh. It is the mausoleum of Saadi, one of the greatest poets of the medieval period, also called the "The Master of Speech."

Overnight in Shiraz

Drive to Marvdasht to visit Persepolis (a UNESCO World Heritage site), which was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid dynasty.

Naghsh-e Rostam (Necropolis) is the next site you are going to see. It is an archeological place and its significance lies in housing the sepulchers of four Achaemenid kings, particularly Darius the Great in its mountains, and the unique rock reliefs carved within the façade of the mountains of this limits. You can spot four more rock reliefs in Naghsh-e Rajab, another historical place within a few hundred-meter distances from Necropolis.

Overnight in Shiraz

Your city tour begins with visiting the wonderful Nasir al-Molk Mosque or Pink Mosque.

Not far from the pink mosque is a beautiful traditional house and garden, known as Narenjestan- e Ghavam decorated with colorful flowers, fountains, and date palms. After that, you will see Zandieh Complex, including Vakil Bazaar, and Bath.

In the afternoon, you will be taken to visit Eram Garden, which is a historical and unearthly Persian garden with a wide range of plants in it.

Overnight in Shiraz
